The brief

A major UK financial-services data hall ran a four-vendor BMS estate accumulated through two decades of staged build-out. Each vendor's HMI told a different story, alarm queues triple-counted the same event, and the operator team had stopped trusting any of the three power-monitoring sources.

Our scope

• Audit the existing estate — vendor stacks, network topology, data sources, operator workflows.
• Specify and deliver an iBMS overlay layer normalising alarms, points and schedules across the four BMS estates.
• Reassign source-of-truth per measurement type and rewire downstream consumers via the overlay.
• Commission with concurrent-maintenance drills demonstrating Tier IV resilience.

Outcome

One operator console. One alarm queue. One auditable source per measurement. The operations team now runs a shift that doesn't include the per-vendor reconciliation work that previously consumed 30-40% of operator attention.
